If your existing spacer is grooved where the oil seal fits then it will allow dirt and water in and your bearings will not last long. Replace the spacer and save money and effort in the long run. 

I will not be stocking the Yamaha OEM spacers anymore as the Totally TTRs ones are much better and cheaper!
