Without a good chain slider your swing arm will be quickly chewed through by the chain!

Frame guard or "tensioner" kit - this fits to the frame above where the chain runs and protects the frame from a loose chain. 

They usually get very worn over time and are worth replacing before they wear through.

The fiche diagram below shows the parts included in the kit and where they bolt to the frame.
